The Overlay Yard: a free horse racing manager game

Run your own racing yard in the browser. Start with two horses, £5,000 and a trainer's licence. Train on the gallops, read the handicap, pick the trip and the ground, book a jockey and race three meetings a week on the real British calendar, against real horses and jockeys from The Overlay's racing database.

• Tuesday and Thursday evening cards plus the real Saturday meeting
• Official ratings and handicaps that move after every run
• Jockey booking and riding orders, a weekly auction, sponsors, owners' horses, breeding
• Retired legends to buy and hire once you have earned your licence stars
• Free, no download; the first week needs no account
