Cookie Policy
This page explains every cookie The Overlay uses, what it does, how long it stays on your device, and how to control it. The full data-handling story is in our Privacy Policy.
What's a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file your browser saves so a site can remember things between visits. The Overlay uses cookies for two purposes: remembering your interface preferences (which panels are open, whether Race Lab is on) and, only with your consent, measuring how the site is used.

Cookies we don't use
The Overlay does not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Social-media tracking pixels (Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
- Third-party analytics other than Google Analytics 4.
If we add affiliate links to bookmakers in future, the click itself may set a cookie on the bookmaker's domain (so they can credit a sign-up back to The Overlay), that cookie is the bookmaker's, governed by their privacy policy. We will update this page before any such links go live.
Change your choice
You can reset your cookie consent at any time:
Clicking the button clears your saved choice and reloads the page so the cookie banner appears again.
Browser-level controls
Every modern browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or wipe cookies on close. The Information Commissioner's Office has a plain-English guide to cookie controls in each major browser.
If you block strictly-necessary cookies, the site will still work but won't remember your panel-open preferences between visits.
